After a lenghty d~scussion with Water Superintendent Kinsaul the Council agreed to withhold
action at this time.
Upon motion the C~mcil adjourned.

The City Council ef the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular adjourned session at the
City Hall on the above date at 5:00 P. M. with the following present: Mayor Mack, President Mc Crook_lin,
Councilmen Gardner, Hun~, W~lker and Watford with Attorney Hendry and Clerk Spivey.
Pursuant to notice published in Okeechobee News to receive bids for the purchase of City Hall
windows, frames and screens to be removed from building. ~ It was reported that no bids had been received.
After discussion Councilman Warlord moved that Building Inspector ~Pmite and Councilman Munt dispose of
above items the best way possible, seconded by Councilman Gardner and unanimously carrie~.
Kathryn Holt and ~rgil Hayes appeared before the Council requesting a sewer line extension to
their properties in South O~cho~ee. The Council agreed to make a survey of extension.
Due to numerous ce~plaints, a delegation of church people with Rev. Butler also a delegation of
people who were being distr~ed by the noise from the church located on South Okeechobee Avenue, appeared
before the Council regardin~ matter. After a lenghty discussion the Council agreed for Mayor Mack to
handle matter and the churc~ close at 9:00 P. M.
Lester Jennings, Attorney, in behalf of C. A . Presley discussed the deliquent water and sewer
bill at Presley Laundromat, requesting that the Council grant a 30 day extension on payment. After
consideration Councilman HuWt moved to grant request and extend time 30 days for payment of bill seconded
by Councilman Walker and ca~ed.

C. A. Presley representing the Okeechobee Memorial Post #6~, a~opeared before the Council stating
that the Post anticipated sponsoring a circus November 19, 1963 and a fair or carnival February 6 - 11, 1964
requesting that the City waive City License fee on both. Councilman Gardner moved to grant request and
waive City License fee on circus November 19, 1963 and fair or carnival February 6 - 11, 196~, sponsored
by Okeechobee Memorial Post #64, seconded by Councilman Watford and unanimously carried.
Upon motion the Council adjourned.

The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular session at the City Hall on
the above date at ?:00 P. M. with the following present: Mayor Mack, President Mc Crocklin, Councilmen
Gardner, Hunt, Walker, and Watford with Attorney Hendry and Clerk Spivey.
Reading ef the minutes of meetings held October 8, 15 and 22, 1963 were omitted at this time.
Approval of bills was omitted at this time due to early date in month.
Pursuant~ to notice published in Okeechobee News regarding a public hearing on rezoning Lots 11
and 12, Block 19, Northwest Addition from Residential (R-2) to Commercial, President Mc Crocklin asked if
there were any obJ$ctions. No objection was heard or filed. It was reported that the hearing had been
properly advertize~ and property posted. Councilman Gardner moved to rezone Lots 11 and 12, Block 19,
Northwest Additiom from Residential (R-2) to Commercial and presented the following Ordinance and moved
its adoption and m~0~n being seconded by Councilman Watford was put to a vote and unanimously adopted:

ORDINANC$ AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 271, ~ING AN ORDINANCE ESTANLISHING ZONING REGULATIONS
FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT
AND AME~NT THEREOF PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 176, FLORIDA STATUTES, 1953.
WHEREAS, application has been made by Leroy Briney, requesting this Council
to rezom~ from RESIDENTIAL (R-2) TO COMMERCIAL Lots 11 and 12 cf Block 19, Northwest
Addition~ and
WHEREAS, Notice of intention to amend City Zoning Ordinance No. 271 regarding
said application was duly published according to lw~, and
WHEREAS, on the 5th d~y of November, 1~3, a public hearing was held in the
City Council room ~suant to said notice, and
WNEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of Okeechobee to grant
said app~inatioa$ now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Lots 11 and 12 of Block 19, Northwest Addition, be and is
hereby rSsoned from Residential (R-Z) to Comercial effective November 5t~, 1963.
SECTION 2. That the application requesting rezoning and proof ef publication
of notice to amend zoning Ordinance No. 271 published in connection with the above
application be att$ched to this Ordinance and become a part hereof.
SECTION ~. That the City Clerk make the appropriate change on the City Zoning Map in
