q�'� The following resolution ras offered by Councilman Chandler, who moved its
adoption, motion seconded by Councilman Walker and passed:
Resolved by the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, that it is
the enunciated policy of said City that manufacturing plants, making a.product of
national consumption and distribution within the City of Okeechobee, Florid. a,
ought not be taxed by the City of Okeechobee, Florida for a period of five years.
Be it further resolved, the City Council do recommend to succeeding Councils
that said policy be adh6red to for said -period of five years from this date.
Upon motion by Uouncilman Chandler, seconded by Councilman Walker, Council
ap-oroved the following transfer of City funds: Nov. 28, 1S)27, OlsOOO-00 from
Special General Fund to General Fund; December 19, 1927, �450-00 from Park.Fund
to General Fund.*
Councilman Hancock moved that name of Interest & Sinking 1Q.,25 Time Warrant
Fund be changed to Interest & Sinking 1927 Bond Fund., motion seconded by Council-
man Walker and passed.
Upon motion by Councilman hancock, seconded by Councilman Chandler, the
President of Council and City Clerk were authorized to execute cemetery plat.
The election of a successor to former Councilman Leon Latour was then taken
up by Council, and the vote being taken by ballot was as follors:
Don P. Johnston received three votes
0. 0. Davis received one vote.
Don F. Johnston was declared elected a member ofthe City Council of the
City of'Okeechobee, Florida, to serve the unexpired term of former Councilman
Leon tatour,
