192605-05-1926 Sale of BondsThe following resolution was proposed by Councilman Bass, who moved its motion seconded by Councilman Hancock; and carried. adepti6h;­ "RESOLUTION" W iRZAS, the City Council of the City *f',bke*ohobee, Florida., did on Dec - HE ember 19, 1925, pase.Ordinance No. 100, which was regularly approved'by the Mayor;and WHEREAS,, said Ordinance provided for the issuance and sale of bonds of the City of OkeecIdbee of the par value of $215,000-00, said sale to be made pursuant to law; and WHEREAS, said bonds were advertised for sale in Okeechobee News, and Man- ufacturer's Record, the required lengtk of time; and WHEREAS, oa the date of sale, to -wit: March 22, A. D. 1926, no bids were received; and WHEREAS,, the Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida., adourned said meeting of March 22nd to meet again May 22, A. D. 1926, to receive and consider bids for the sale of said bonds_;__ and 134 9 WHEREAS,'Bank of Okeechobee and Peoples Bank of Okeechobee, both banking corporations under the laws of the State of Florida, have offered the sum' of $204,250-0010 plus accrued interest from February lst, A. D. 1926; and WHEREAS, said offer is the highest and best bid received, and the only bid received for the purchase of said bonds, NOW THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida,that the offer, or bid, of Bank of Okeechobee and Peoples Bank of Okeechobee Of $2o4,,250-00, 0 r 95$ of the par value of said bonds, plus accrued interest from February 1st, A.
