1924-03 Sale of Bonds/Appt. Bldg. Insp..0 '�- - %�. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Berka, seconded by Councilman Hancock, and passed by the following vote: Yeas Nays H. H. DeYarman H. H.'Hancook None H, T. Bass J. D. Bird'�, Albert Berka RESOLUTION AWARDING BONDS Whereas, City of Okeechobee, Florida, a municipal corporation created and existing under the laws of the State of Florida, has in accordance with law issued 0150,000.00 of municipal improvement bonds of said City, and Whereas said bonds have been advertised for sale on the 27th day of September A. D. 1924, and Whereas, pursuant to such notice of sale the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, has met to receive and open and consider bids for said bonds, and 268 Whereas., it appearing fr - om examination and inspection of said bids that Bank of Okeechobee, Okeechobee, Florida is the highest and beat bidder, the amount of its bid being 0144,505.00 and accrued interest, pursuant to section 50 of the Charter of the City of Okee- chobee, now theref ore; Be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of Okeechobee Florida this 27th day of September A. D. 1924, that bonds of said City of Okeechobee of the par value of $150,000-00 issue of 1924, called City of Okeechobee, Municipal Improvement Bondso Issue of 1924, be and the same are hereby awarded to Bank of Okeechobee, it being the highest and best bidder for -the amount of $144,505-00 with accrued interest. The above resolution was read a first time and by unanimous vote passed to a second reading. It was read a second time and pae- sad to a third reading . It was read a third time and passed in open,session of the City Council by unanimous vote. Motion was made by Councilman Bird, seconded by Councilman Bass that W. R. Gary be designated and authorized to act as cus- todian of the bonds, and deliver them to the Bank of Okeechobee add receive the purchase price for them. Upon roll call on the above motion the vote was as follows: Yeas Nays H. H. DeYarman None H. H. Hancock H. T. Bass J, Denham Bird Albert Berka Motion was made by Councilman Bird., seconded by Councilman Bass that the City furnish the Jefferson Construction Company water at the rate of $15.00 per month. Motion z&s made by Councilman Bird and duly seconded that Coun- oil appoint W. E. Holmes building inspector for the City of Okeecho- bee except on jobs where a member of his family is employed or is a contractor thereon. Motion passed.
