RESOLUTION
The following resolution was introduced by Councilman R. E. Me
Laughlin, seconded by Counollman 0. 0. Davis,
WIMIREAS the City Council has by ordinance authorized the
issuance of 430,000*00 in City of Okeechobee Time Warrants for the
purpose of obtaining funds for the completion of the water works an&,
sewerage systems of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, and as authbrizedi
under Section No.47 of Chapter No.8318, Acts of the Legislature at
its session A.D. 1919. Therefore, Be It Resolved
That the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, State of Florida,
does hereby levy a tax of 4 mills upon the dollar or such an
additional amount-aB may be necessary each and every year thereafter,,
fof the purpose of the payment of said Time Warrants and interest
thereon, upon all real and personal property within the City of
Okeechobee, liable to taxation, annually, and to provide a
Sinking Fund for retiring said Time *arrants, as they may become
due and payable, and that the same is to be deposited according to
law; and the City Tax Assessor of the City of Okeechobee, Florida,
is hereby instructed and required to assess upon all taxable real
qmd personal property within the city of Okeechobee, subject to
taxation, the aforesald millage, and the Tax C81leotor of the City
,of Okeechobee, Florida, is hereby instructed and required to
collect the same, as required by law, and to deposit the same
according to law in the depository as named by.the City Council
as* City Depository
Be It Furtber*Resolved: That -the assessments aforesaid do
ocamence, with the' assessment of the year 1921 and continue so long
a's the same may be necessary to provide a sum sufficient to pay the'
interest on said Time Warrants 9 and provide a Sinking Fund to pay the
same as they may become due and payable.
The,Above resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Okeechobee, Florida, by the following unanimous vote, and
