Council.
Whereas, the Southern Utilities Co.
The holders of a franchise to furnish electric lights to the City of
Okeechobee, have failed to reasonably compli with their contract, und

a reasonable time has been piven the said Company for them to orovi e
means, or power, for the Duruose, and they not having un to the date
hereof 'out their plant in shape so that lights can be furnished, the
said City as contemplated by their franchise, and more then a reason-
able time havinp elapsed, and the City still in darkness; therefore
be it resolved, IV -hat the said Southern Utilities Co.
are hereb,,7 notilf"ied, that, they must within Thirty days from the date
hereof, furnish lights to the City as contamplated in said franchise,
nermanently, and uDon failure so to do, that'it is the intention of
the City of Okeechobee to recind said franchise, for abandonment or
failure to comply therelxiith, without- further dalay, take due notice
thereof aiid be governed accordingly.
The above resoln"I",ion, was adopted ' by a unanimous vote, and the City
Clerk is hereby ordered to tiarismit a copy thereof without delay to
the Southern Utilities Co.
