1920-06 Water BondsRESOLUTTON 7OR LEVY OF TAX ITILLAGE FOR WATER WORKS BONDS. 129 The following Resolution was Introduced by councilman 0. R. Brooks, seconded by councilman E. R. Wright. Resolved that, Whereas, at an election duly held within the City of Okeechobee, Florida �on the 26th day of February, A.D. 1990, a majority of the votes cast wer; in favor of the issuance of bonds for the Durnose.,of erecting water works, la-ying water mains, and purchasing lands for the erection thereof, fire truck, trucks and necessa-y fixtures, to be constrncted upon such Avenues, streets, alleys, or oarts thereof, ' as may hereafter be designated bj the Council; which have been duly canvassed, the result thereof declared, and duly recorded on the minutes of said Citj '-�Iouncil, under which the said City, was authorized to issue and sell said bonds, as here tx_`�)-re' provided , 1'.71 R],,30LVED, that The Cty Council ofth�, Citj of Okeechobee, Sta-tti of Florida, does hereby levy a tax of three (3) mills upon the dol"Lar, unon all real and perqonal proDertj within the City, lia . ble to taxation, annually, to nay thov.interest upon said bonds, as the same may become due and payable, and �o'provide a singing fund, for retiring said bonds as they may become dne',and payable, and that the same is to be d6posited according to law; And, -The City Tax Assessor, of Okeechobee City, Florida, is hereby in- .structed and required to assess uDon all taxable real and personal propertl wi-thin the City of Okeechobee, subject to taxation, the aforesaid mi'llage and -the Tax Collector of said. City is hereby instructed and required to collect the same as required by law, and deposit the same according to law, in the depository as may be named by the City Council. Be it Further Resolved, that the Assessments aforesaid, do commence with - -Inue so lohg as the same may the Assessment of the year 1990, and cont be necessary to provide a sum sufficient to pay the interest upon said bonds and provide a sinking fund to pay the same as they may become due.
