1920-07 Sewerage Bonds131 RESOLUTION 20"E. LEVY 02? TAX ITILLAGE FOR SEWERAGE BONDS. The following Resolution was introduced by councilman 7F,. P. "'Iright seconded by councilman 1. P. Underhill. RESOLTHM, that, Whereas, at an election duly he1d within the City of Okeechobee, Florida. on the 26th day of 7ebruary,A.D. 1920 a majority of the votes cast were in favor of the issuance of bonds for the purpose of constructing a system of sewerage, including all connections and in all of its details, upon such Avenues, Streets, Alleys, or narts thereof, as 'the City 0#ouncil may hereafter d6signate; which have been duly canvassed and the result thereof declared, and duly recorded upon the minutes of the said City Council, under ,-ihich the said City was authorized to issue and sell bonds, as heretofore provided, TIET22ORE BE IT RESOLVED, that, The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, State of Florida, does hereby i levy a tax of three-fourths (3/4) mills upon the dollar, upon all real and personal property within the City liable to taxation, annuailly, to pay �he interest upon said bonds, as the same may become due and payable, and to Drovide a sinking fund, for retiring said bonds as they may become due and payable, and that the same is to be deposited according to law; and that the City Tax Assessor, of Okeechobee City, Florida, is hereby instructed, and required to assess, upon all taxable real and personal proDerty within the City of Okeechobee subject to taxation, the aforesaid millage, and the "lax Collector of said City is hereby instructed and required to collect the same as req_uired by law, and deposit the same according to law, in the Depository as may be named by the City Council. BE IT FURT=1M PESOLV"�M, that the assessments aforesaid, do commence with the assessment of the year 1920, and contir.,ae so long as the same may be necessary, to Drovide a sum sufficient to Day the interest upon said bonds, and Drovide a sinking fund, to Day the -same as they may become due.
