1920-08 Paving Bond127 RESOLUTION FOR LEVY OF TAX ITILLAGE for 3TREET PAVING LONDS. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman W.F.Underhill seconded by councilman H. R.Wright Resolved, that, 17hereas, at an election duly held within the City of Okeechobee, Florida on the 26th day of February, A D 1920, a majority of the votes cast were in favor of the issuance of bonds for the purDose of Paving, Curbing, Grading, complete in all its details certain Streets, Avenues or parts thereof, in �he City of Okeechobee -,i as may hereafter be designated by the City Council, which have been duly canvassed, the result thereof declared and duly recorded on the minutes of said City Council, under which the said City was authorized to issue and sell said bonds, as heretofore Drovided, Therefore Be It Resolved, that, I The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, State of Florida, does hereby levy a tax of 41 mills upon the dollar uDon all real and personal property within the City liable to taxation annually, to pay the inter- est upon said bonds, as the same may become dne and payable, and to orovide a sinking fund for retiring the said bonds as they may become due and naybble, and that the same is to be deposited according to law; Ana the City Tax Assessor, of Okeechobee City, Florida, is hereby instyncted, and required to assess upon all taxable real and Orsonal property within the City of Okeechobee subject to taxation, the aforesaid millagd-, and the Tax Collector of said City is hereby instructed and required to collect the same, as reqnired by law, and deposit the same according to law, in the deDository as may be hamed by the City Council. Be it further Resolved, that the assessments aforesaid do commence, with the assessment of the year 1920, and continue so long as the same may be necessary, to provide a sum sufficient to nay the interest upon said bonds and provide a sinking fund to Day the same as they may become due. The above resolution was adopted by the followinp- unanimous votelp and ordered recorded in the minutes of the City Council, this the 16th day of 11arch, A.D. 1920, all voting Yea and none Nay.
