Resolution for Levy of Tax Millage
for
Street Paving Bonds.
The following resolution was Introduced by T. P. Underhill
Seconded by Councilman E. R. llrlght,
Resolved, that,
'Whereas,, at an election duly held within the City of Okeechobee, Flori(
on the 26th day of Februauy, A.D. 1920. a r-ajorty of the votes cast wert
in favor of the issnance-of bonds for the purpose of Paving, Curbing,
Grading, complete in all its details certain Streets, Avenues, of parts
thereof, in the City of Okeechobee, as may hereafter be designated by t)
City Council, which have been duly -canvassed, the result thereof declar(
and duly recorded, on the minutes of said City Council, under which the
said City was authorized to issue and sell said bonds, as heretofore
provided, Therefore Be It Resolved, that,
The City Council of the City of 0-keech.0b0c, State of Florida, does herel
levy a tax of 5 mills uDon the dollar or such an additional amount each
and every year as may be necessary for the payment of said bonds, upon; -.8
real and personal proDerty within the City liable to taxationlannually,
to pay the interest upon said bonds, as the same may become due and pay-
able, and to provide a sinking fund for retiring the said bonds as they
may become due and oayable, and that the same is to be.deposited accordi
to law; And the City Tax Assessor of Okeechobee City, Florida, is hereb�
instructed and required to assess upon all taxable real and versonal prc
perty within the City of Okeechobee subject to taxation, the aforesaid
millage, and the Tax Collector of said City, is hereby instructed and
required to collect the same, as required by law, and deposit the same
accordin� to law, in the depository,,as may be named by the City Council.
Be it furthdr Resolved, that the assessments aforesaid do commence with
the assessment of the year 1920, and continue so long as the same may be
necessary to Drovide a sum sufficient to nay the interest uDon said bond
and Drovide a siniftng fund to -pay the same as they may become due, All
resolutions or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
The above resolution was adopted by the followinR unanimous vote and
ordered recorded in the minutes of the City Council this the 13th
day of April —A. D. 199-0, all voting Yea and none Nay.

motion of C.,-' , R..Brooks, seconded by W. P. Underhill.

9going motion was rdad a second time by sections.
On motion of R. L. Pearce, seconded by B. R. Wright, the foregoing
resolution was read a third time and placed for final passage, the
vote standing as follows:
