Mr. Sterling advised the board this property owner is a repeat violator, however in the past she has always cleaned the property, Member Huckabee moved to find Case 12-079, Suzette Quarles,1109 NW a Avenue, in violation of Ch 30 Sec 3043 Public nuisance and Sec 3044 General cleaning and beautification, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling this is a repeat violator, imposing a fine of seventy-five dollars perday beginning forty-five days after receipt of proper notification; seconded by Member Denisuk, VOTE GAMIOTEA - YES HUCKABEE - YES CLOSE - YES DENISUK - YES DOUGLAS - YES PIPPIN - ABSENT SWEDA - No CONRAD - ABSENT MURPHY - ABSENT MOTION CARRIED. Mr. Sterling said she called him today requesting an extension of time to get the property in compliance. Mr. Sterling stated the property owner was a repeat violator and he has been unable to make contact with him. Member Douglas moved to find Case 12-088, Suet -Fong Tsang, 800 Blk NW 121 Street, in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance and 30-44 General cleaning and beautification, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling this is a repeat violator, imposing a fine of seventy-five dollars per day beginning thirty days from today; seconded by Member Close. Mr. Sterling stated the property Federal Nat'l Mortgage Association.1003 SW 11 Avenue was in foreclosure and had recently been taken over by Federal Nat'l Mortgage Association. However, they have made no Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance attempt to contact us or to cleanup the property. After some discussion among the board members, Member Denisuk movec Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification to postpone Case 12-097, Federal Nat'l Mortgage Association,1003 SW 11 to Avenue, until the next regularly scheduled meeting; 11 seconded by Member Huckabee. Mr. Sterling stated the property was in foreclosure, but the mortgage company went bankrupt and the mortgage was sold to Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance another bank. He said he has not been able to determine which bank now holds the mortgage. Fire Chief Herb Smith said the property Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification was a safety hazard. Chairperson Gamiotea advised the board to consider declaring this property a public nuisance so the City would have authority to clean up the property and abate the nuisance. Member Denisuk moved to find Case 12-100 Curt Lundberg, 517 NW 12"' Street, in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance and 30-44 General cleaning and beautification, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling and Fire Chief Smith declaring this property to be a public nuisance, recommending the City take action to bring the property into compliance; seconded by Member Douglas.
