Disposition of Cases presented by Code Officer Sterling : Case No. 11-127 Leroy & Wanda Page. 803 NW 11' Street Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification Case No.11-128 Regions Bank. 503, 507, 511, & 517 SE 5' Street Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification Code Officer Sterling stated the property owner, Wanda Page, is in a nursing home in St. Petersburg (Leroy Page is deceased. Mr. Sterling talked to the daughter who is taking care of Mrs. Page. She said she has a prospective buyer, but needs more time to finalize the sale of the property. Mr. Sterling suggested postponing Case 11-127 until the next meeting, to allow time for the property to be sold and the new owners to get the property cleaned up. Member Close moved, based on Code Officer Sterling's testimony, to postpone Case 11-127 Leroy & Wanda Page at 803 NW I I" Street until the next regularly scheduled meeting; seconded by Member Denisuk. VOTE GAMIOTEA - YES HUCKABEE - ABSENT CLOSE - YES DOUGLAS - ABSENT PIPPIN - YES SWEDA - ABSENT CONRAD - YES DENISUK - YES MOTION CARRIED. Code Officer Sterling testified notice of violation/notice of hearing was received by Regions Bank. This is vacant property which is overgrown. He said in the past, once the notice of violation was received they mowed it, but nothing has been done this time. Mr. Pippin moved to find Case 11-128 Regions Bank at 503, 507, 511 & 517 SE Vh Street in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance and Sec 30-44 General cleaning, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling, imposing a fine of twenty-five dollars per day beginning fifteen days from proper notification; seconded by Member Denisuk. Mr. Sterling stated he spoke with her a couple of weeks ago she said it would be mowed. Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance However, the property that was mowed was another location and not 920 NW 12" Street which is still overgrown. Member Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification Close moved to find Case 11-129 Ben Smith at 920 NW 12' Street, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling, in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance and Sec 30-44 General cleaning, imposing a fine of twenty-five dollars per day five days after proper notification; seconded by Member Conrad, VOTE GAMIOTEA - YES HUCKABEE - ABSENT CLOSE - YES DOUGLAS - ABSENT PIPPIN - YES SWEDA - ABSENT CONRAD - YES DENISUK - YES MOTION CARRIED. Case No.12-011 Code Officer Sterling testified notice of violation was received by property owner and notice of hearing was posted on the David & Kim Black.1009 SE 7" Street property. Property owners, David & Kim Black live out of state and the Code Officer has not heard from them. Mr. Sterling Ch 30 Sec 3043 Public nuisance stated they are repeat violators for general cleaning. Member Conrad moved to find Case 12-011 David & Kim Black at Ch 30 Sec 3044 General cleaning & beautification 1009 SE 71' Street, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling, in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance and Sec 3044 General cleaning, imposing a fine of twenty-five dollars per day fourteen days after proper notification, before a second was made Member Conrad amended the amount to fifty dollars per day seven days after proper notification; seconded by Member Close.
