Code Officer Sterling advised the Board that Ms. Doster had inherited this property and it had taken her some time to get it
cleaned but it has been in compliance since June 23, 2011. Ms. Doster addressed the board stating she had some difficulty
finding a reputable landscaping company to clear the property for a reasonable rate since she lives in Georgia. She stated
in the future her son will be dealing with a landscaping company to be sure the property is maintained. Member Huckabee
moved to forgive or release the fine of $1,275.00 on Case 10-101 Janet Doster, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling
that it is now in compliance and Ms. Doster has shown good faith in maintaining the property; seconded by Member Douglas,

Code Officer Sterling testified certified notice of hearing/notice of violation was received by Mr. Bevis, pastor of the church.
Mr. Sterling talked to Mr. Bevis advising him he needed a permit for the church sign because a structural change was made.
Mr. Sterling took Mr. Bevis over to the City Building Department to get an application for the permit, however he never brought
the application back. City Building Inspector Ray Schaub advised the board anytime a sign was modified a permit was required
in order to be sure it meets the required wind loads. Member Douglas moved to find Case 11-042 Church of God of Prophecy
in violation of Ch 90 Sec 90-563 Permit & plan required, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling and Building Inspector
Schaub, imposing a fine of twenty-five dollars per day beginning upon certified mailing and notification of property owner;
seconded by Member Conrad.

to locate property owner and send a letter explaining what needs to be finished to bring the property into full compliance;
seconded by Member Douglas.

on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling, imposing a fine of twenty-five dollars per day beginning September 20, 2011;
seconded by Member Conrad.

Code Officer Sterling testified certified notice of violation/notice of hearing was received by property owner. Mr. Sterling stated
the property is vacant and he received a complaint that vagrants were using it for a place to sleep. Property owners were
notified to secure the building, but nothing has been done. Member Huckabee moved to find Case 11-057 Robert & Melody
Jennings, 810 SE 8"' Street, in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-43, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling, declaring the
property to be a public nuisance, recommending the City take action to abate the nuisance and imposing a fine of twenty-five
dollars per day beginning September 30, 2011; seconded by Member Douglas.

Code Officer Sterling testified property is in foreclosure and certified notices were returned, therefore notice of violation/hearing
was posted on the property. Mr. Sterling stated property is overgrown and needs to be declared a public nuisance so the City
can take action to abate the nuisance. Member Huckabee moved to find Case 11-074 Matthew Williams,1103 SE 8' Avenue
in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance and Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning and beautification, based on the
testimony of Code Office Sterling, declaring the property to be a public nuisance and imposing a fine of fifty dollars per day
beginning on September 21, 2011; seconded by Member Douglas.
