The garbage situation was discussed. The Council instructed the Clerk to notify Frank Reeves
of a meeting of the Counci~ to be held ~Aesday December 12th requesting his presence for a discussion
on the above subject.
Councilman Hunt Boved to au+~horize payment in the amount of $~.00 to W. L. Hendr7 for
prosecution of two cases i~ City Court, seconded by Councilman Parkerson and carried.
Upon motion the Council adjourned.

Pursuan$ to notice published in the Okeechobee News regarding a public hearing on re-zoning
t Lots 1 to 6 inc.,Block 151 Original Town of Okeechobee from Residential (R-I) to Oommersial. The
owner Mr. Frank OSga was present and explained his proposed intentions. President Gardner asked if
there were ar~ objection. No objection were heard or filed from adjoining property owners. A~ter
discussion Counci~ Hunt moved to postpone action on above matter until next regular meeting in
February, seconde~ by Councilman Warlord and carried.
Water Slpt. Kinsaul reported that it would require 500 feet of 2 inch water pipe and 600 feet
of 4 inch sewer pSpe to make water and sewer extension in Block 214. After discu~aion Councilma~ Hunt
moved to make water line extension and to purchase %00 feet of 2 inch water pipe seconded by Councilman
Watford and carried. Councilman Yeilding moved to table action on sewer extension, seconded by
Councilman Hunt a~..d carried.
Water S~pt. Kinsaul reported on the condition of water department truck.
Councilman Watford reported on street markers survey. The Council agreed to purchase said
markers as per co~nCLlman Watfor~s survey.
The condition of house located on N. 75 ft. of Lots 10, 11 and 12 of Block 177 was discussed.
Fire Chief Godwin~iinstructed to inspect condition of said house.and report to Council.
The Co .u~cil insteucted the Clerk to notify Mrs. I. N. Mc M,,l~en requesting her to make
arrangements to r~move the remains fro~ the site recently destroyed by fire.
~ Counci!~ian Warlord reported that a $1,0OO I &S Refunding Bond had been purchased from E. H.
Pringle and Compa~ · 95 and interest ($963.92)
Coup. i~ Hunt reported that Jack Sharp Inc. of Orlando had installed the safety ladder at
the water tank fop $100.00.
Counci~ Hunt reported that Markha~ Bros. had requested a street light in the alley behind
the canning plant. Matter referred to Councilman Hunt for investigation.
Councilman Yeilding moved to donate $250.00 to Chamber of Co~,er~e for ten memberships. The
donation to be used for post~ge to mail new brochures of Okeechobee seconded by Councilman Parkerson
and carried.
The Co, il authorized the renewal of termite contract with Tropical Exterminator Inc. ~ $30.00.
