Disposition of Cases presented by Code Officer Sterling : No.10-120 Clifford & Tracy Kauffman. 925 SE 23r' Street Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification No. 10-124 Robert & Melody Jennings. 506 SE 111h Avenue Ch 70 Sec 70-302 Permit Code Officer Sterling requested the withdrawal of Case #10-066 Leon & Ulyssee Thomas, #10-101 Janet Doster, #10-102 Caril Simmons, and #10-111 Luis & Zuleika Carcache from today's agenda. Code Officer Sterling testified the property is in foreclosure with Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Mr. Sterling stated he spoke with Pentagon Federal's representative on January 27, 2011. The representative said they were in the process of getting the property cleaned. However, when Mr. Sterling inspected the property today nothing had been done to bring the property into compliance. Member Irby moved to find Case 10-120 Clifford & Tracy Kauffman of 925 SE 23'd Street, in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling, imposing a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day beginning fourteen days from February 8, 2011; seconded by Member Sweda. VOTE GAMIOTEA - YES IRBY - YES CLOSE - YES DOUGLAS - YES HUCKABEE -ABSENT PIPPIN - ABSENT SWEDA - YES MOTION CARRIED. Code Officer Sterling testified the property was in violation for replacing windows without a permit. He said property owner, Robert Jennings, lives out of state, but he signed for certified notice of violation/notice of hearing and is aware of the situation. Mr. Sterling informed the board he was unable to make contact by phone since the number had been disconnected. As of today, the owner has made no attempt to contact the building department to apply for a permit. Member Douglas moved to find Case 10-124 Robert & Melody Jennings of 506 SE 111 Avenue, in violation of Sec 70-302 Permit, based the testimony of Code Officer Sterling, imposing a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) per day fine beginning fourteen days from receipt of notice or posting of the property; seconded by Member Irby.
