Mayor and Council attendance: Mayor Oakland Chapman Present Councilman Nick Collins Present Councilman Andy Rubin Present Councilman Oscar Thomas Present Councilman Dowling Watford Present Staff Attendance: City Attorney Cook Present City Administrator Drago Present City Clerk Thomas Present OPEN THE WORKSHOP FOR DISCUSSION ON THE PROPOSED TRAFFIC ORDINANCE #606. 1. Mayor Chapman announced that the purpose of this Councilman Watford began the discussion: workshop was to review the proposed traffic Ordinance #606 which had been tabled from the September 6, 1988 a. Questioning Councilmembers on whether Council Meeting. or not they wanted to completely eliminate commercial vehicles in residential areas or limit them to side and rear yards. b. Should the Ordinance limit industrial equipment in residential areas or limit them to the side and rear yards? c. Should industrial equipment include farm tractors? September 12. 1988 page two COUNCIIrD1BERS/ACTION VOTE ABSENT YES NO Council and staff discussed these items and others including: various cities which have adopted this (or a similar) Ordinance, police officer's discretion acting on complaints, F.S. 17.30 (B) - handicapped parking places, municipalities' authority, etc. Council decided to leave the proposed Traffic Ordinance #606 as it is and bring it up at the next Council meeting as a First Reading. D. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to discuss, Mayor Chapman adjourned the meeting at 8:20 P.M. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT IF ANY PERSON SHOULD DECIDE TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE AT THIS MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, SUCH PERSON WILL NEED TO INSURE THAT A VERBATIM t.
