C. COUNCIL REPORTS AND/OR REQUESTS:

Each Councilmember discussed the findings of the
investigation report from the State Attorney's
office which stated - based upon the findings
of the investigation no probable cause exists
to believe any criminal wrongdoing occurred on
the part of Mr. Drago.
Following discussion, Councilman Watford made a
motion that the City contact Attorney Claude Mullis
requesting his opinion regarding whether the City
has "just" cause to terminate the employment

Motion was seconded
Mayor Chapman recognized Steve and Mary Porter
who addressed the Council to continue the
discussion concerning the alleyway located by
their business.
Following discussion Council agreed to continue
this discussion at the next regular meeting of
April 5, 1988 to allow the Council an opportunity
to look over the situation and listen to the
meeting tapes where the request to use the alley
was granted.
Councilman Thomas discussed the situation
involving a drainage easement on Highway 441
South with Public Works Director Elders.
Director Elders stated there was a problem with
the plans that were prepared by Engineer Mosely
Collins and requested Council's permission to
request Engineer Jim Broome to look over the plans
for the City to make sure everything was correct.
Councilmembers agreed.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:46 P.M.
