Councilman Par;.Jerson reported that one of the County Co~,~issioners had talked with him and 741 requested the "' ~' ~zty s assistance in building a shed at the garbage dumping site for use of the employee at site. The C~;,uncil agreed to cooperate with County iu anyway possible. Matter referred to Councilman Parkerson to get definte details. Councilman Parkerson moved to put-chase a car for the Police Department to be used by the Chief of Police~ seconded by Councilman Yeildi~4~. Co~mcilman Yeilding moved to amend the above motion that the purchase be made when funds are available. Motion on amendment died for lack of a second. The following vote was taken on original motion: Yea - Councilmen Parkerson and Yeilding No - Councilmeo Hunt and Wet,ord. President Gardner voted Yea. Mayor Mack reported on information that he had secured regaNting the sale of abandoned vehicles ?ssessed by ~he City. Councilman Hunt moved to advertize for a public sale of 2 cars and 1 motorcycle secondeA by Councilman Parkerson and carried. Attorney Hendry requested to contact a Representative from said Depar~uent as to advise on equi.~nent ~e4ulred. Attorney Hendry reported on his study of Electrical, Pl,zmbing and Building Code. No action taken. Councih~an Yeilding moved to accept bid from Okeechobee Motor Company in the amount of $3,261.~6 for a 2 ton For~ Dump truck seconded by Co~mcilman Hunt and carried. Attorney Hendry aS,rised the Council that Judgment Taxing Cost in the amount of $521.20 was entered against the City of Okeechobee (Case No. 1813)(Frank Altobelle, et el VS City of Okeechobee).
