Requests for the addition, deferral or withdrawal of items on Code Officer Sterling requested the withdrawal of Case 09-021 from today's agenda due to compliance. today's agenda. VI. NEW BUSINESS. A. Disposition of Cases presented by Code Officer Sterling No. 10-004 Code Officer Sterling testified the property is overgrown on the sides and back. Mr. Sterling said he has been in contact with Dan Buchanan. 800 Blk NW 10th Street (Lot: 3) Mr. Buchanan and he is working with him but it is taking a long time to get the cleaning done. He added Mr. Buchanan was Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning and beautification found in violation for general cleaning in 2008, therefore he is considered to be a repeat violator. Member Huckabee moved to find Case 10-004 Dan Buchanan in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-44 based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling, imposing a fine of fifty dollars per day commencing March 1, 2010 if not in compliance by that date; seconded by Member Irby. VOTE GAMIOTEA - YES IRBY - YES CLOSE - YES DOUGLAS - ABSENT HUCKABEE - YES PIPPIN - YES SWEDA - YES MOTION CARRIED. No. 10-005 Code Officer Sterling testified property owner received notice of violation and some work has been done. However, there is Dan Buchanan. 805 NW 9th Street still a disabled jeep on jack stands, an unsafe structure and debris/junk from his heavy equipment repair business. Member Ch 30 Sec 30-41 Disabled vehicle and Sec 3043 Public Irby moved to find Case 10-005 Dan Buchanan in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-41 and Sec 3043 based on the testimony of nuisance Code Officer Sterling imposing a fine of fifty dollars per day commencing March 8, 2010 if not in compliance by that date; seconded by Member Huckabee, GAMIOTEA - YES PIPPIN - YES MOTION CARRIED. The building Herman & Shirley Murray. 210 SW 2nd Street inspector told property owner to either remove sign or take down electrical wiring and cover with plastic. After some discussion, Ch 90 Sec 90-565 Sign maintenance Member Sweda moved to find 10-008 Herman & Shirley Murray in violation of Ch 90 Sec 90-565 based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling imposing a fine of twenty-five dollars per day commencing on March 8, 2010 if sign has not been repaired 11 or removed by that date; seconded by Member Pippin.
