1924-12-16 Regular Okeechobee, Florida, Dec. 16, 1924. The'Oity Council met in regular session at 7.30 Q'olock p. m. on the above date and the following nee present: T. W. Conely, Jr. Mayor, H. H. DeYarman, President, Councilmen H. T. Bass, J. D. Bird' and Albert Berka with R. P. Fletoher, Clerk and L. W. Jennings, City Attorney in attendance. Minutes of meetings held November ~7th, 19th, 2gth and Dec. 3rd were read and approved. . Upon motion duly seconded and carried bill of O. H. Prater II for.90~'g5 for building culverts on North Park Street in East Oke~- chobee was ordered paid. .. Motion was made by Councilman Bird, seconded by Oouncilmaa "" Bass that City build a sewer line from Cherokee and North Curve Street to connect with an established sewer line. Motion passed. Upon motion ,duly seconded and carried bill of Jefferson" 0 on- _$356.50 for n . struotion Company ~grading on Pesacola Street was ordered paid. Motion was made by Oounci;Lman Berka, seconded by Councilman Bàss that street bf gradedfrom Parrott Avenue to Primitive Bapt~st Church. Uojion passed.. Councilman Hancook arrived at the ¡eeting at this time. Motion was made by Councilman Berka, seconded by Councilman Bass and carried that City accept contract with Neptune Meter Company for 300 water meters and that. City Engineer be instructed to order , 100 meters immediately. Motion was made by Councilman Bird, secOnded ëy Councilman Berka that D. L. MàcGlashan be paid for special work connected with aeration basin upon approval of bill by City Engineer. Motion passed. Motion was made by Councilman Bird, seconded by Councilman .. Berka and carried that Oounoil appropriate 125.00 to the Community Christmas Tree Fund. Motion was made by Councilman Bkss, sec~nded by Councilman Hancock and duly carri~dt~a.t";the President of Council and Oi ty Clerk be authorized to execute agreement wi_Florida Bast Coast Railway Company in regard to crossing Railroad tracks with water mains. .
