0677 Revising FLUM ORDINANCE NO. 677
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA
AMENDING THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN,
ORDINANCE 635, AS AMENDED, BY REVISING THE FUTURE LAND
USE MAP; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION OF ORDINANCE AND
REVISED FUTURE LAND USE MAP IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Okeechobee recognizes the need to plan
for orderly growth and development, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 9J5, Florida Administrative
Code, provide for the amendment of the Comprehensive plan.
BE IT ORDAINED By THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE
THIS ORDINANCE shall be known as the "City of Okeechobee Comprehensive plan
Small Scale Development Activities Amendment of December 6,1994;'and shall be effective
within the city limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida.
SECTION 2. AUTHORITY
This City of Okeechobee Comprehensive Plan Small Scale Development Activities
Amendment of December 6, 1994 is adopted pursuant to Chapter 163, Part II, Florida
Statutes.
SECTION 3. REVISIONS TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP
1. The following described lands are hereby redesignated for purposes of the
Future Land Use Map of the City of Okeechobee Comprehensive Plan:
a. From Single Family to Commercial:
Lots 7 and 8 of Block 126; City of Okeechobee;
AND
South 1 /2 of Lots 1 and 2 of Block 105; City of Okeechobee;
AND
Lots 1 to 10 inclusive of Block 4; Price Addition;
AND

Commence at the NW corner of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 15,
Township 37 South, Range 35 East; thence run S 00 °18'26" E along the
Easterly line thereof, 668.71 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence
continue S 00 °18'26" E, 276.28 feet to the NE corner of Price Addition
to Okeechobee City; thence run S 89 °50 "34" W along the Northerly
line thereof, 336.76 feet to the NW corner of said Price Addition;
thence run N 00 °17'46" W along the W line of the E 1 /2 of the E 1 /2 of
the SW 1 /4 of the SE 1 /4 of said Section 15, a distance of 273.38 feet;
thence run N 89°20'47" E and parallel with the Northerly line of
previously mentioned SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 a distance of 336.71 feet to
the Point of Beginning;
AND
Lots 1 to 12 inclusive of Block 112; City of Okeechobee;
AND
Lots 3 to 9 inclusive of Block 113; City of Okeechobee;
b. From Single Family to Industrial:
Lots 1 to 20 inclusive of Block 67; City of Okeechobee.
c. From Multi- Family to Commercial:
West 1 /2 of Lot 5 and all of Lot 6 Block 125; City of Okeechobee.
SECTION 4. INCLUSION OF ORDINANCE AND REVISED FUTURE LAND USE
MAP IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, and it is
hereby provided, that the provision of this Ordinance, and the revisions to the future land
use map more particularly described as "Future Land Use: 2000 City of Okeechobee, March
19, 1991, as amended December 6, 1994 is incorporated herein by reference, shall
become and made a part of the City of Okeechobee Comprehensive Plan (City of
Okeechobee Ordinance No. 635, as amended).
SECTION 5. SEVERABILITY
If any provision or portion of this ordinance is declared by any court of competent
jurisdiction to be void, unconstitutional, or unenforceable, then all remaining provisions and
portion of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effective.

SECTION 6. EFFECTIVE DATE
The effective date for the enactment of Ordinance No. 677, shall be the date that the
State Land Planning Agency issues its notice of intent to find the adopted plan amendment
in compliance in accordance with Section 163.3184(9); or until the Administration
Commission issues a final order finding the adopted amendment in compliance in
accordance with Section 163.3184(110), Florida Statutes.
This ordinance shall be set for final public hearing the 6th day of December 1994.
Introduced for first reading and set for final public hearing this 15th day of
November 1994.
