0733 Millage Rate FY 1999-00Section 1: Section 2: ORDINANCE NO. 733 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A MILLAGE RATE WHICH RATE IS SET ON ALL REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY; PROVIDING THAT 5.4399 PER THOUSAND DOLLAR VALUATION SHALL NOT BE LEVIED ON HOMESTEAD PROPERTY; THAT 5.4399 PER THOUSAND DOLLAR VALUATION SHALL BE USED FOR GENERAL CITY PURPOSES; THAT SAID MILLAGE RATE IS 10.27% MORE THAN THE ROLL -BACK RATE COMPUTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH F.S. 200.065 (1); PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida hereby levies a tax of 5.4399 per thousand dollar valuation on all real and personal property within the corporate limits of said City, provided however, that 5.4399 shall not be levied upon property in the City of Okeechobee claimed and allowed as homestead on the general laws of the State of Florida. That as designated in Section 1, hereof, 5.4399 per thousand dollar valuation shall be used for general City purposes in carrying on and conducting the government of said City. Section 3: The millage rate adopted is 10.27% over the roll -back rate as computed in accordance with Florida Statutes Section 200.065 (1). Section 4: That this ordinance was proposed, considered and adopted under the provisions of Florida Statues Chapter 166 and Section 200.065.
