0536 Utility DepositsORDINANCE NO. 536 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 514 OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE • CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE I, SECTION 18-4, PROVIDING REGULATIONS RELATIVE TO UTILITY DEPOSITS, DELETING THE WORD "MAY" IN THE FIRST SENTENCE AND REPLACING IT WITH THE WORD "SHALL"; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, as follows: SECTION I: Ordinance No. 514, Article I, Section 18-4 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 18-4. Discontinuing Water Service for Violations. The director of public works may shall discontinue water service to any premises on which a violation of this chapter or any rule or regulation relating to the city's water or sewer systems has been, or is being, committed. Such service shall not be reconnected until the violation has been corrected, and until the consumer has paid a reconnecting charge in the amount provided by Chapter 2, Article IV, Section 2-66 together with all fines and penalties.
